We join the initiative 'Interweaving Ibiza'
Ibiza Country Villas participates in the campaign organised by Teixitoki, a collective of six non-profit organisations on the island.
The initiative is a proposal by Urban Knitting that aims to launch a creative activity, which unites us during confinement and serves to be connected by creating something together and at the same time beautify some public space when the Health Crisis ends.
As explained by APAAC (Pitiusa Association of Help to People Affected by Cancer), one of the organisations promoting the project, "life is an amalgamation of stitches, some without thread, others twisted, many given without ton and others charged with intention and aim. And although at this time the health emergency has us in solitude; that solitude is interwoven with other solitudes and they go out together to the street. Thus, the stitches given by hand, will give color to the gray of the asphalt, and will shelter the trees and the souls that embrace them".
The Deixalles Foundation, AFFARES (Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Rheumatic Diseases and Chemical and Electromagnetic Sensitivity Association of Ibiza), AEMIF (Multiple Sclerosis Association of Ibiza and Formentera), ACTEF (High Capacity and Talent Association of Ibiza and Formentera), Cáritas Diocesana de Ibiza and APAAC constitute "Teixitoki" and have also joined the initiative.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN "INTERWEAVING IBIZA
- Weave "squares" with wool of 20x20cm. Make as many as you can (freestyle).
- Tell elderly people who know how to knit about the initiative.
- Upload photos of his and your creations to social networks under the hashtags #Teixitoki and #EntrejiendoIbiza.
- Share this initiative with your acquaintances so that it reaches as many people as possible.
- Donate a yarn to get everyone on board.
- When we can go out we will meet to unite all the creations.
