The purchase and sale of properties is growing steadily

Real Estate after coronavirus

According to a recent study, during the de-escalation the market has recovered, with a moderate increase in the purchase and sale of real estate.

The analysis is taken from the latest edition of the "Real Estate Barometer, the market sentiment of real estate professionals", carried out jointly by UCI (Unión de Crédito Inmobiliario) and Siralia (Spanish International Realty Alliance).

The trend in these early stages of "the new normality" seems to be stable. We share below some of the conclusions gathered in the Fotocasa Pro blog.

"THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF REAL ESTATE RECOVERS ALONG WITH THE RECOVERY OF THE PACE OF WORK"

According to this portal, "the gradual recovery in the pace of work in real estate agencies has also translated into data that reflect a greater movement in the property purchase and sale sector".

This movement has been perceptible during the last weeks and "almost 30% of professionals speak of stabilization of these operations", while 6 out of 10 noted a decline during the period of confinement.

With regard to the closing of operations, expectations revolve around stabilisation "or even improvement over the coming months".

"STABILIZATION AND MODERATE INCREASE IN INTEREST TO BUY"

The forecast of the professionals of the sector for the next quarter, according to the study, is the "stabilization and a moderate increase of clients interested in the purchase".

In recent weeks, coinciding with the de-escalation after the health crisis by the coronavirus, "it seems that the portfolio of properties has remained stable" and it is estimated that this trend "is replicated in the stock of properties for the coming months".

"PRICE STABILITY ALSO"

With regard to the price of real estate, "almost half of the professionals point to stability and 35% to a moderate decline, which they expect to be the trend in the coming months," according to the study.

In the words of the deputy director general of UCI, Jose Manuel Fernandez, "this Real Estate Barometer is great news for the sector because it reflects that once the activity is recovering in person.

"The declines in the market for property sales translate into stabilization and moderate growth in closed transactions and other key variables in the process," adds Fernandez.
